Student Ministry

Our Mission

We believe that student ministry exists to give God glory by making disciples of students, helping them mature in their faith, and teaching them to multiply through sharing Christ with others.

What We Do:

SUNDAYS:

Sunday Morning Bible Study @ 9:30 AM

Students will be encouraged to come on Sunday mornings for a time of Bible study. These Bible study times will be divided into high school and middle school coed classes. Lessons taught during these times will be focused more on helping students mature as they grow in their walk with Christ.

WEDNESDAYS:

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Mission & Service Projects

Throughout the year students will be given opportunities to put their faith into action through service projects and mission trips. These projects and trips will consist of both local and abroad opportunities. Through serving the students will get a better understanding of what it means to truly show others who Jesus is and share their faith in Him.

Youth Emphasis Sundays

Several times throughout the year the church as a whole will have Sundays that are focused on the youth ministry and students. These will include Youth Sundays where the students take the lead in the activities of the service. This includes leading worship, taking up offering, making announcements, speaking, etc. We will also have a graduate/senior Sunday every spring to celebrate and honor those students who are graduating from high school.

Core Values

The message is always Jesus.

The youth ministry is a group of students whose lives are centered on the Gospel—the good news of how Jesus came, died, and rose again so that we might have life. (John 3:16) This message will be shared so that more students will know the hope and joy that only comes from following Jesus.

Students are our heart.

As a ministry our desire is to love students the way Christ loves them (John 13:34). No matter who they are, where they come from, or what they have done—all are welcome because all students need Jesus.

The goal is life transformation.

We long to see lives of students radically changed through the power of God’s Word (Hebrews 4:12). This will only happen when the gospel is proclaimed clearly, with consistency, and in a compelling manner (1 Corinthians 9:16-23).

Our passion is excellence.

We strive for excellence and to do our best with all that we have been provided (Colossians 3:23). We do this through preparedness, engagement, and expectancy. Our aim is to do all things to the best of our ability and with passion. Passion for Jesus, passion for students, and passion for His church (Philippians 4:8).

Our pursuit is Christ-centered relationships.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus has the unique ability to create true community. It tears down walls that divide, whether that is age, skin color, sex, socio-economic status, or nationality. It unites us in Christ. Our goal is to love God and to love one another in Christ-centered relationships (John 13:34-35). We believe that following Jesus was never meant to be done alone (Hebrews 10:24-25) and life is always better together (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
